Star Wars Zero Company M-3VO & Astromech Build Guide
Looking for a Star Wars Zero Company M-3VO build? Set up a recruitable Astromech for AP support with Comlink, utility choices and practical squad timing.

For the Star Wars Zero Company M-3VO build search, the usable combat-support route is a custom Astromech recruited through The Den, with Built-In Comlink for AP support. M-3VO, or Meevo, is the Caisson's utility droid and pilot; do not confuse that crew character with an Astromech Operator you can build for deployment.
Patch 1.2: spend the transfer on the best follow-up
EA Patch 1.2, checked October 16, caps Built-In Comlink at three uses per turn at maximum rank. Self-Repair is limited to two uses per combat, with rank- and AP-related healing changes. Inspect the current preview for the amount restored before spending AP.
- Identify an ally whose useful action is one AP short.
- Check its movement, range and target first. Fund the shot after establishing the firing position.
- Compare a second transfer with the droid's own move, Utility or repair. A third allowed use does not make a low-value transfer worthwhile.
- After spending one Self-Repair, keep track of the one remaining use for the entire encounter.
For example, transferring one AP to an ally with 1 AP left makes a 2-AP attack affordable only if no additional movement is required. If the target is already safe to finish with another teammate, preserve the droid's AP for support. EA specifically changed Comlink to constrain AP feedback with Coordinated Support; avoid making that loop the basis of a multi-droid squad.
A newly recruited Operator now costs 100 Credits. Build Droid Bay when that support role solves a real gap, then check capacity and equipment alongside the hiring fee in The Den.
Unlock and recruit the combat droid
- Open The Den's Upgrade facility and build the Droid Bay when it becomes available.
- Visit Recruitment and choose or create an Astromech Custom Operator. Inspect its current specialization, talent and equipment before spending Credits.
- In Personnel, check Built-In Comlink and your available Focus. In Armory, fill the Utility slots shown for that specific recruit.
- Deploy alongside an Operator who regularly ends up one AP short of a valuable action.
The Droid Bay requirement and custom recruitment are described in EA's facility overview.
Comlink: transfer a useful action, not a score
The extracted Built-In Comlink record lists 1 AP spent to grant an ally 1 AP, with a per-turn cooldown, for build 25513890. Check your rank's live tooltip before upgrading; the listed tiers do not justify assuming a default +2 AP transfer.
Example: your damage dealer has 1 AP left and a useful attack preview costing 2 AP. If Comlink can target that ally, the extra point makes the attack affordable. If they must first spend an AP moving, that same transfer no longer buys the shot. Position the recipient before spending the support action.
Utility priorities
| Squad problem | Equip or prioritize | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| One AP short of a finishing action | Built-In Comlink | After setup, before the recipient commits its final action |
| A planned approach crosses an unsafe firing lane | An available smoke or control Utility | Protect the route before moving the vulnerable Operator |
| The team lacks a way to recover from a down | A compatible recovery option or a Medic partner | Keep the helper close enough to reach the casualty |
Read item compatibility in Armory: a healing item suitable for a humanoid is not automatically suitable for a droid. Build around the Utilities and slots you actually have.
Squad partners and mistakes to avoid
Kabb benefits when the point enables a safe finishing approach; Luco benefits when it makes a priority shot affordable. With Cly, distinguish AP support from her Advantage budget: granting AP does not refill the shared Advantage pool.
Do not move the droid into danger merely to donate a point. An unsupported droid can cost more actions to rescue than Comlink saved. If the squad needs health recovery more often than extra attacks, use a Medic instead; compare the options in Best Squad.
Sources and correction
Checked October 8, 2026: EA's facility overview, the linked Comlink data, and the official StarWars.com announcement for Meevo. This replaces the earlier Overclock Battery tree and claimed Patch 1.1 transfer fix. The turn example is an editorial calculation, not a playtest report.
